Yes! expressive arts are for everyone. It is all about expressing and the process of creating and not the end product.

The answer is everyone! Children, adults, seniors, expressive arts does not descrimante by age or ability.

Do you offer therapy for children?

Answer

Yes! I offer one on one expressive arts and play therapy sessions for children. I also provide one on one and group sessions for children at schools, clinics, behavioral centers, and hospitals.

Do you work with ADHD, OCD, Depression?

Answer

ADHD, ADD, OCD and Depression are lables that serve the pharmacutical industry otherwise they would not be out there. Such labels are very dangerous especially for children as they reinforce the idea that something is wrong with them. All those symptoms or feelings are trully the body's way of saying something is wrong or something is not working. In expressive arts therapy there are no lables. Expressive arts deal with the person or child as whole and usese creativitiy and imagination as vehicles to examine our bodies, feelings, emotions, and thought processes. When the work is done and the healing takes place the symptoms or feelings that were labeled will disapear.

What is expressive arts therapy?

Answer

Expressive arts therapy is a client centered intermodal approach to therapy that is catered to you. There are no problems to fix or symbols to interpret. It is all about you and your journey. One that is facilitated by imagination through creativity. You do not need previous art training or experience, and you don't need to consider yourself artistic or creative to benefit from this work. The process of creation is emphasized rather than the final product. Expressive arts therapy is based on the assumption that people can heal through the various forms of creative expression. It shares the belief that through creative expression and the tapping of the imagination, people can examine their body, feelings, emotions, and thought process.

Yes! We all have our own favorite modalities to work with. You can start the exploration through the modality you prefer while keeing an open mind to when the opportunity to shift to a different odality shows itself.

What is the difference between creative or expressive arts therapy and art therapy?

Expressive arts therapy combines psychology and the creative process to promote emotional growth and healing. This multi-arts, or intermodal, approach to psychotherapy and counseling uses our inborn desire to create—be it music, theater, poetry, dance, or other artistic form—as a therapeutic tool to help initiate change. What is reiki?

Answer

Reiki is a form of alternative therapy commonly referred to as energy healing. It emerged in Japan in the late 1800's and it involves the transfer of life force energy from the practitioner's palms to the recipient. The idea is that the human body is composed not only of physical elements such as muscles, bones, nerves, arteries, organs, and glands; it also has a subtle energy system through which life force energy flows. If one's life force energy is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stressed, anxious and overwelmed. while if the life force energy is high, we are more capable of being happy, at peace, and healthy. Reiki can: Accelerate healing • Assist the body in cleansing toxins • Balance the flow of subtle energy by releasing blockage • Promote a deep state of relaxation • Help with anxiety and insominia • Help the recipient connect with the 'healer within'

What is crystal healing?

Crystal healing is an holistic, non-invasive, vibrational energy-based system of healing. That is, it treats the whole person and their integrated energy system. It is therapeutic and deeply relaxing. In my practice I use crystals that were prepared by a Firstnations Metis medcine man from Canada. I use such crystals for grounding and healing as part of my reiki and aura clearing sessions. I also provide clear quartz pendants that I charge with reiki energy so that you can can have reiki with you at all times. The charged quartz can also be used for pets and plants.

Can you conduct a long distance reiki session, do I need to be physically present for reiki to work?

Answer

Yes! Reiki can be sent long distance withought having the person physically present during the session. A long distance reiki isession is as powerful and as effective as having an in person reiki session. The idea of long distance reiki might sound starnge at first specially if you are new to reiki. However, most probably you have experience the same concept before. For example, if someone prays for you, you do not need to be physically present for the prayer to work.

What to expect in a reiki session?

Answer

During a reiki session the recipient will recline confortably on a massage table or recliner based on prefrence. Reiki is then transmited via the palms of my hands which are place a few inches away from the each of the reipient's energy chakras. A typical reiki session lasts for 45 minutes.

How does long distance reiki work?

Reiki can be sent long distance withought having the person physically present during the session. To conduct a long distance reiki session ,I will need the name, age, and the city where the person is located. A picture of the person is prefered but not necessary.

What is aura clearing?

Aura clearing, also called "psychic surgery," is a technique that combines the use of Reiki and shamanic work. The technique is used to clear the aura, a person's energy field, from blockages that might have been caused by traumas, emotian or physical.

A crystal grid consists of crystals laid out in a specific pattern to enhance and direct energy. A reiki grid is a special kind of crystal grids that is constructed with the intention of intensefying the reikie energy and having it flow for a longer time (longer than a single session).

Yes! you can send reiki for a specific situation or an event in the future. It is the same concept as long ditance reiki but this time the reiki is not being sent to a person but rather to a situation or an event.

A treatment feels like warm, gentle sunshine, which flows through you, surrounds you and brings comfort. Reiki treats the person's body, emotions, mind and spirit as a whole. It is powerful, yet wonderfully gentle and nurturing. Reiki supports any medical, or supplemental healing methods a client may be using and is of growing interest to chiropractors, medical doctors, physiotherapists, psychotherapists, psychologists and hypnotherapists.
